I am rightly proud of the food on our various menus but we don’t just offer a great dining experience at The Whitminster Inn. We have a range of delicious wines carefully selected from around the world to supplement our meals.
Aires Andinos Sauvignon Blanc – a crisp, dry white wine from Argentina for which the word ‘fruity’ hardly seems adequate. It offers an aroma of grapefruit and pineapple with just a touch of passion fruit.
Bantr y Bay Chenin Blanc – originating in South Africa this wine combines aromas of both citrus and tropical fruits with the taste of pineapple and pear, leaving a pleasant acidity in the mouth.
Malandrino Pinot Grigio – an Italian classic with the perfume of pears and lime. Light and extremely drinkable.
Five Foot Track Shiraz – an intriguing name for this medium red from Australia. Decidedly fruity with red berries particularly to the fore.
Flor Del Fuego Cabernet Sauvignon - of Chilean origin, this easy going wine offers the tastes of plum and blackcurrant making it almost cassis like.
Two Ridge Trail Merlot – another Australian red, this is a subtle wine infused with fruity sweetness. Plum, blackberry and raspberry can all be detected.
Blushmore Zinfandel Rosé – we’ve selected this delicate Italian wine as our recommended Rosé. An easy, drinkable wine full of fruity flavours.
Sparkling Wine & Champagne
Blushmore Sparkling Rosé – a distinctive coral colour gives this wine something out of the ordinary. Its initial sweetness is offset by a tangy acidity.
Prosecco Corte Alta NV, DOC, Italy – you cannot fault this delicate and aromatic sparkling wine. Fruity and zesty with tastes of peach, pear, apricot and apple, it is delightfully refreshing.
Whitminster Selected Champagne – rely on our expertise to choose a fantastic champagne specially selected for The Whitminster Inn.
All are available by the bottle or in three glass sizes, except the sparkling wine and champagne.
